November wasn’t the busiest month in a footballing sense for me, but I certainly made up for that in terms of life away from football as I visited Salamanca for the first time and asked a certain someone a very important question.
Also featuring a thriller in Vallecas, my troubles finding enough time to finish reading my book of the month and lots of photos.
As I continue to settle into life in the big city, I sum up a month of adventures in the world of football from the thrill of meeting Super Pepino at Leganés to analysing the ongoing crisis at Real Madrid as Julen Lopetegui pays the price for a poor start to the season. Also up for discussion, nice kits, day trips and some excellent places to eat out in Madrid.
With the big move at the start of the month safely negotiated, September was all about settling into my new life in Madrid – and going to lots of football matches of course! Join me on my travels from Fuenlabrada to the Wanda, to Vallecas and Alcorcón. And I’m just getting started.
Between watching lots of football, preparing for my move to Madrid and lots of flat-hunting, August has been a very busy period for me! Also featuring my inaugural Book of the Month.
The first in this new series of monthly updates looks at pre-season friendlies, the early rounds of European qualifiers and my trip to Edinburgh.
